2J used my "Latina Christiana". You can check with her how it worked for Matthew. If you need it, I can send it on to you. Some folks doing Classical education use Wilson's "Latin Primer" series, and they seem to like it.

Neither of our kids was interested in Latin, so I never did it with them. If we'd started homeschooling in Elementary school, I might have tried it. But Clare wanted to learn Japanese, so she did that. Joseph had Spanish at St. Johns in the 9th and 10th grades, so that was all the Foreign Language he wanted to bother with.

Clare's college requires Latin 1 and 2 in the first year, so she took it, and ended up liking it a lot; go fig!

Thegirl wants to be a nurse, and so I figured Latin might come in handy. They also want to learn Spanish.
