Yeah, 60 months is a while, but if it means you could get a NEW car, then that means new car warranty, and a measure of peace of mind for a while. Keep a lookout for deals where they’re offering extra warranty time or something like that, when you buy new.
I had a horrible night, though, before the physical. I started getting stuffy sinuses last night, and just before I went to bed, I was feeling a little woozy. I also felt warm so I took my temp, and it was 99.8. I started getting chills so bad I could hardly walk to the bathroom, so I wrapped up nice and warm in bed and put a heating pad on my feet. I didn't think I was supposed to drink water, because I had to fast for the bloodwork, but I cheated about 1:15am, because my temp had gone up to 100.2, and I took a Tylenol extended release with a glass of water. At that point I was burning up under all the covers so I kicked of the two warmest. Turns out, I have a sinus infection, so the PA wrote me a scrip for Amoxil, 3 times a day.
After my physical, we went to take SirKit for a flouroscopy to see what was up with his right hemi-diaphragm. Turns out, his phrenic nerve is 'gonzo' according to the radiologist. It's about 90% not functioning, and even wierder, when they looked at SirKit breathing, they noticed that the left diaphragm went down like it's supposed to when you breath in, but his right one came UP! Strange that. We decided we are both just bent, and that's that. ;o) Now he's going to go to a neurologist to see what's up with the nerve, and why it's not functioning. Could be a tumor, could be the back adventure back in 2001 messed it up somehow.
Anyway, it was 1pm by the time we got my amoxil, but I'm still taking three today! I met some friends for lunch, and just got home, so now I'm just pooped, and I'm gonna take another amoxil and take a nap!
Hyundai’s warranty is 5 years / 60,000 miles for the bumper-to-bumper (including roadside assistance, which is nice), and 10 years / 100,000 miles for powertrain.
I thinking it’s at least worth asking ‘em to run the numbers. The new Elantras are a *little* bigger than the old ones, too, without really being a big car. And I could choose colors and that.
I may go by this afternoon and just look again. Can’t hurt.
