I, on the other hand, love her books...so I’m pretty critical of the screen adaptations. But Pride and Prejudice is a masterpiece, IMO. It’s not the same as a two-hour movie, but I wouldn’t want it to be.

Heh...I think we pretty much watched it straight through when we got it, with brief food breaks. Brothers included. I guess we’re all a bunch of rather romantic and sentimental fools. ;-)

I love her stuff too but Sense and Sensibility was a great adaptation. Even with that wimpy guy as Elinor’s love. Alan Rickman sort of stole the show every time he showed up though.
