The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

He had to use his ladder to get to the pole over between our places, so I guess he probably ran a new one.

Hubbit is putting in stepping stones out to the barn where the grass gets worn down by traffic. We've got it fenced off, then we'll seed it.

Cool.

It’s cleared up here, but it’s very windy. I’d go out and work outside, but company will be here way too soon...

I figure it’ll take 32 or so stepping stones to get from the driveway through the side yard and to the far side of the sunroom.

I’m not to eager to start that particular project.

Back from the walk; quite pleasant now.

More grow lights and shelves is a good idea, the orangebox store periodically has some good sales on the plastic shelving. We’ve got several sets over the years for the basement. They are plenty sturdy for plants, tools and such. If you really motivated, there are pvc pipes that you can cut and customize a unique set shelves for your use. The pvc pipe glue recommends ventilation during use.

Back. ‘Twas a lot of fun, and absolutely no pressure as they didn’t do individual breaks in any kind of scary way.

Met a lot of nice folks...and got another gal hooked on the tenor banjo. Mwahahah...

Now to play with the new toy.

We got them from Ace down the road. Same place we got the other ones. I like that they are 2” thick instead of 1”. They stay put a lot better than the thinner ones.

So did we, it was on TV last weekend. Have always heard good things about it, but it was one of those that we just never got around to seeing.

Ah, OK.

They do seem to stay put pretty well! And look good.

Tam has arranged three balls around my chair in hopes that I’ll take a hint and play with him. I guess I should stop just laughing at him, huh? ;-)

Has anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth? Visually rich, but the story is violent and sad. The director is Guillermo del Toro, and he's listed as the Director for the two Hobbit films, according to the IMDB info!
