I did find out that you only have to pay half up front. So there’s that.

SirKit read that the failing satellite is going over again tonight, in just a few minutes. I think at 6:08EST. We’re going to see if we have any better luck seeing it tonight.

Those Scottevests have an absolutely amazing capacity for stuff. There’s 30 or more pockets of all sizes. There’s a pocket big enough for a full size magazine. There’s some for water bottles that hold them up vertical. Pockets for cameras, mp3 players... and cable management for all the wires. There’s even a hanger in the big back compartment to hang a camelbak for water, and route the mouthpiece around the collar. lots of hidden pockets, too.

I finally broke down and took my laptop to the 8 hour meeting today to work on real work. It was rude, but I got the Chair's blessing and everything worked out ok. My first productive day in a while.

CARP! Missed the satellite again! It may have been too far down near the horizon for us to see it past the trees and houses, I don’t know. But we’re looking forward to the eclipse. The moon is just coming up now and it’s lovely.

I mean...we have some odd names in the family, but at least we don’t throw in unnecessary letters just to be cute. Or name kids androgynous names, for that matter. I hate that trend.
