Heh, so do we, mmm fresh basil. We’re a ways off as well but we can wish can’t we?
Nope. Not any time soon. It’s AlGore and that groundhog’s fault!
Did I tell ya that there’s mention of a community garden at werK? Maybe I can get some okra this year....some danged varmint keeps chewing the stalks in half - they don’t even bother with the pods.
I was gonna grill chicken last night. I haven’t used the grill since probably October. Took the cover off and found that some critter’s been livin/eatin’ in there. It’s full of acorn shells.
Acorn shells on my car battery too.
drive faster...
...and with the hood up...
ummmm...okay...
That otta shake those squirrels up!
I think mine are chipmunks. Can’t be sure tho. Nana’s not here to tell me about them the minute I walk in the door.
Community gardens at werk might be a lot of fun. Do you get to work in the garden at recess? :-)
What’s not to like, no predators, rain proof, and close to a food source. Glad the squirrel vacated the grill before you fired it up.
Well I guess we could if we wanted. I’m more planning on staying maybe a half hour after werk a couple of times a week. Anyway, there was just one email out about it to see if there was any interest. There’s lots of room with sunlight and hawks and owls to patrol the place.
Roast squirrel....
When he had his 'back adventure' in 2001, he lay in the ER in excruiating agony from his back, with no pain meds, for almost 6 hours. Several doctors came and went, and NONE were able to tell him what was causing the pain, they just sent him home with a prescription for Valium, which caused him to have such hallucinations that he dumped them after that first dose. He took Vicodin and kept ice packs on his back to keep the pain down. Almost a week later, when he was finally able to actually move on his own, I took him to the Physical Terrorist, and it was SHE who finally made a diagnosis, which was that a facet joint in his middle back had been torqued, which caused the pain in his back, and it also caused the fascia of the muscle over his abdomen to become inflamed, which caused the sensation that he was being poked in the navel with a hot stick. The doctors were clueless.
I started taping “Pride and Prejudice” tonight, because I’ve never seen it. If I like it, I’ll order up the whole thing from Netflix.
I think they did a really good job with it! They really follow the book closely. Good cast, too.
I’ll buy it one of these days.
Hehehehe....
