It looks like the folks at GG&G have developed a complete line of accessories to fill those annoying little gaps in the Eotech design. Lens caps, a battery-box release lever that works easily, and a no-extra-height-added throw lever mount.

I'm thrilled with the battery release lever, which is pretty reasonably priced (and is now OEM on some new production Eotechs. The lens caps aren't watertight, but are a lot better than having naked optics.

And while I was at it, I figured I'd go with their throw-lever mount, too.

Eotech should get a clue, and provide all of this as OEM on their products. It's still the Rolls Royce of electronic sights, but this would be like getting dubs on it right from the factory.

If you go the the NASA website, you can also get the information about the track of the ISS and the shuttle, depending on your location. Click on the NASA Skywatch introduction, then on the 'sightings' link to choose the country, state and city. It does look like it will come right over you! It's supposed to be cloudy here tomorrow night, dang it!

Whatta good hubby! ;o) Hope she feels better soon. Maybe before she goes off again to one of those conferences she needs to take some Airborne !

Vey pretty! The lack of orange will allow its use as an accessory to a range of different colors.

As a civy no longer a LEO or Active Duty Military etc I carry more than I shoot and thus the finish and factory “melt” of a glock is more comfortable . All here will take their morning shower and leave for the day yet will not consider the acidity of ones sweat or the contact with ones skin and sharp edges of levers, buttons and widgets on a carry gun, They will also not consider the wear and tear on clothing like shirts or upholstery in the vehicle or dwellings. A nice sharp rear sight will cut everything in sight...... trust me on that !! Only mod on my glock 31C is novak low mount H3’s with green bar dots from PT night Sights in Ft Worth.

Also I like the higher capacity , the penetration of the Texas DPS 357SIG Speer GDHP’s in vehicle bodies and performance in after action reports involving the caliber and specific commercial load.

The C versions used to be a problem due flash in firing at night or low light. No longer the problem with properly tested loads. The Speer DPS load does not have such a flash problem.

The combination I carry works for me , a few thousand rounds thru it on the range and in competition and a shoot house now and then and I like the KISS principal that the Combat Tupperware seems to thrive in. I carry cavalry / mex style without a holster, chamber empty, magazine full, with a spare mag in a IWB Bianchi single mag pouch w/ plus 2 bases on each magazine. I will advise all test the plus 2 bases and consider adding a thin bead of super glue that can be razor cut later for repair or spring replacement if ever needed.

My CHL/CW rig is easy to don and doff if I am forced to enter a federal building or hospital where such isn’t allowed or a secure area where not allowed.

I drive a vehicle that has a center console that has a after market secure storage vault that I got from genos garage. I have no issues leaving my firearm in that locked alarmed vehicle in that thick steel security box inside the bottom part of that locked console.

Only stored there if I’m forced to enter a area where CHL is not allowed.

Yep, it surely is. We’re going to clean off the cars later, hopefully, most of it will have slid off. LSA

We had our snow last week. It looks like we’re getting rain for the next couple of days, but at least it will be above freezing during the day every day next week! SirKit and Joseph are replacing the old storm door with a nice new Anderson door. It will make it much warmer in the foyer!

Speaking of good hubbies.

Some time in the night Steve got up and laid down in the living room. Very early this morning, someone was banging hard on our front door. I listened because I knew Steve was just a few feet away and would get it. I heard him say something...then nothing. So about 5 minutes later, i got up and walked down the hall. Steve was sound asleep on the loveseat. I woke him up and asked “Who was banging on the door?” He said “Was someone banging on the door? I thought that was you looking at the calendar and banging on the wall in the hallway.” (That’s where it happens to be hanging.)

I stood there for several seconds trying to wrap my thoughts around that. Finally, I said “Steve...I don’t normally get up at the crack of dawn and bang on the hallway wall. If I was standing in the hallway looking at the calendar and banging on the wall very early in the morning, don’t you think that might be an odd thing for me to be doing? Don’t you think you shoulda got up and checked on me?”

Roads look okay and drying out now....well, I am in Perfect Village. It was all wet and slushy this morning, though.
