Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

true that
LOL!! That’s because they have a bottle of it sitting on the counter down at the farmer’s co-op where I buy my feed, so I knew it existed. Apparently one of the guys thought one of the other guys was a big enough butt that he needed it. Men are so strange sometimes.
So...exactly what are you saying?
LOL!
2J would...
Or she’d just hit the person with a box fan.
And she'd bring a green bean casserole.
LOL!! You got it!
I grew up in the south you know. And I’m married to a G.R.I.T.S.
I know what casserole goes with each occasion.
Ooooo, you'll have to send me the list. I'm just an Alabama country girl so I didn't get the full rule book that the Richmond debutante set got. ;o)
Ha ha! You guys are funny. And pretty accurate too.
‘Cept I wouldn’t say hon. I only use the word “sis” and then it’s a high compliment. Like calling someone sister, implying that I know (or at least highly suspect) the person is a part of the family of God.
A guy at the Lowes down the street called me Hon once when I was looking for a wax ring for my toilet. He said “It’s on aisle 10, hon.”
“Thanks schnookums!” I replied.
It is likely I’ve told this story before...
We had a welfare client we called “Honey-Darlin’” because every sentence began with “Honey” and ended with “Darlin’”
“Now Honey, I’m goin’ to tell you how it is Darlin...”
I have no idea what her real name was.
Heh!
It’s a beautiful day here...sunny, not too cold. I think I’ll take the boys with me to get my arm test done, then run by the park and go for a walk.
Sounds like a great idea. I wish I could get out of this cube farm and get a little fresh air and sunshine. It’s fixin to be lunch time though, so maybe I will.
I’m sitting here watching a package I should get today as it bounces around creation.
It’s only coming from Bellevue, which is a couple of hours north of here. From there, they sent it to Chehalis, which is about forty minutes south. Now it’s gone back to Fife, which is about forty minutes north of here - maybe a bit more.
I guess it’s to do with where their various distribution centers are, but it’s cracking me up. If it keeps bouncing north and south, eventually it should come to rest here...I think.
Good news on the kitteh front.
Abby is free and clear and only needs to go back for regular checkups. She can be “released” from the kennel.
Ah - very good!
Hope things are well in here this fine morning... :~)
