Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

So how are you doing?
Who’s next?
Corin? What’s your plan today?
I’m doing good. BP in right arm is still moderately high, but left arm is absolutely normal. I can’t sit in the little computer chair...for some reason that makes it go way up so I have the laptop rigged up comfortably here in the recliner.
I’’m hopeful that either the 24 hour urine test or the doppler ultrasound of my subclavian artery will show something.
I almost really hope the artery is clogged, sis...it’ll be inconvenient, but fixable. If the urine test comes back messed up, that will likely mean an endocrine problem (glands, you know) and that never has an easy fix.
Well, I hope for whatever you hope for. When will you know?
He's taking the day off, right? Hope he stays out of the attic...
I don’t know about the 24 hour urine test. She said it could be a week and I turned it in on Wednesday.
I imagine I’ll about the ultrasound that evening.
I’m so glad your Aunt is OK! And it’s great that you had the tool available. Amazing that the police officer didn’t have anything useful for the purpose!
*snort*
OK, so I don’t remember; have they already done the ultrasound and you’re just waiting to hear back on the results? Yeah, it seems like having to get a stent would be a lot easier than having to deal, long term, with an endocrine problem.
Not yet. They do the ultrasound on Thursday...Valentines Day.
If it shows a blockage, that might explain the full feeling I have in my head.
The odd difference in BPs per arm is a symptom.
A curious phenomenon ...
Well, it may be nothing...
This high BP may still end up just being old age.
But it just came on so quick and so high. They’re looking.
Not hardly, hon. Do your parents tend toward high BP? If so, it could be something genetic. But with the quick onset of this, it doesn't sound like that.
SirKit tends toward higher cholesterol, and we know that's genetic, as is his tendency toward a lower BP. I've never had high BP, even at my highest weight when nine months pregnant. So when I had high BP in the hospital, I knew something was up, physically. When my heart function is back up to normal, I'm going to ask to be taken off the BP and heart meds. I don't want to be on them unless it's absolutely necessary, and we won't know that until I'm off them and we can monitor the situation.
I have a Dr.'s appt on Valentine's Day, too! I'm seeing the Cardio guy, and I'm going to ask if I can go off the Coumadin and get back on the low dose aspirin instead. I want to get back to eating my greens!
I got Luke on the bus, did a little bit of work around here and went out birthday party shopping. The good thing is that Mario Party 8 is great for someone who wants to have friends over to pay Wii for his birthday. We've got that.
But, apparently either Nintendo keeps a really tight reign on that Mario copyright or there's just no market for Mario party supplies and frap. No cakes, or cake decorations or party plates or anything. So we're just doing everything in red, yellow and blue.
This morning I ordered balloons and picked up party favors and stuff.
I'm takin' a late lunch break and then will get back to work on the house.
Not Valerie gets home around 11:00 tonight. Plan is (my plan, anyway) that Jr. and I get up all the clutter and she comes in and mops and cleans the terlets and stuff...
werks fer me...
Sounds exhausting... I may have a nap... I’m still behind on sleep :~)
I’m really glad you and your mom were able to be there for her sister and I hope they are able to find out the cause of her fall. It makes me very nervous for my 87-year old father, who refuses to use any of those 24-hour notification thingys; he says he’s not old enough to need ‘em. Okaaaaaay, dad.
Beagle sleeping next to a full food dish. Never thought I'd see that.
I know there are some cake decorating places that can take a picture you give them and scan it and then print it on the cake using edible ink.
I’m not 100 percent sure how it works, but I’ve seen photos put on cakes, I wonder if you could get a Mario picture and take it in?
Maybe not enough time now, though.
Poor Barkley! I sure hope the muscle relaxants and Rimadyl fix the problem. That poor pup has been through a lot and is very lucky to have you and ecurbh to watch over him now.
Poor precious puppy! I would love to curl up in there with him!
He’s a sweet sleepy dog.
mine?
