The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Have they referred you to a cardiologist, then? Seems as though they should at this point...

No! Heh heh...I quit taking EVERYTHING when they started talking “kidney” problems. Giving my filtering system a break till we get everything back and know everything is ok.

My other labs were all normal and she was even happy with the cholesterol (she said the ratios were good...which I agree.)

The only thing we havn’t gotten back yet is the 24 hour urine. That will definitely tell me if my kidneys (specifically the adrenal glands) are screwy. If I get the all clear on that, then I can have my cholesterol medicine again!

I thought I'd placed an order with King Arthur flour a couple of weeks ago, but never received anything. Then, I went back to look, and realized that I hadn't received any confirmation of the order, so I must not have actually 'placed' it. D'OH!

Worked out well, though, because a couple of days after I thought I'd placed the order, I thought of a couple more things I needed. So I got it done last night. I can get the Bread Flour and Whole Wheat flour locally. It's the 'ingredients' that I can't find locally, like Natural Cocoa and Double Dark Dutch Cocoa, Dried Fruit Blend, Dried Diced Apples, and the Floribbean Key Lime Juice that we need for a Key Lime Icebox pie. Joseph is really into making desserts these days, and far be it from me to stop him! ;o)

Did someone say Ammo?

Before you buy the ammo, make sure you've bought at least one decent piece of equipment through a private in-state sale, where it doesn't go on a 4473.

I'm starting to shop for body armor. Don't expect that to be readily available for long.

You know, I never got a confirmation e-mail either. So I wonder if that part of their system isn’t working right. I thought about giving ‘em a call, but then the box arrived. I didn’t have any back ordered items, so it came in about a week or so.

I got the sourdough starter, some decent mixing bowls, and some really good cinnamon. Considering I went to the site just for the starter...I guess I got carried away. Oops...

Did I tell y’all we’re gettin’ a Trader Joes? I have no idea what that really means, but I remember you talking about them.

It’s not close, but it’s near where Nana is, so not totally inconvenient.

I’ve still not been to one, but they’re supposed to be really good!

My brother in CA had all kinds of good stuff from there. The bread was really good, for one, and also they had a lot of different frozen foods and canned goods and candies and such.

I still want to go to the Tacoma one someday. If I ever get to the point where I trust my van to drive more than ten or fifteen miles.

Just the end of the world.

But not to worry. We'll talk about it again.

I wonder, if you can take tylenol every 4-6 hours and ibuprofin every 4-6 hours, can I take tylenol 2 hours after I’ve taken ibuprofin? Because ungh.

You need to be careful with the total amount of tylenol, too much and you can easily blow out your liver. Have you got a sinus headache? LSA
