The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

She’s shaved from the “waist” down. We’ve told our friends will allergies they can come and pet her butt.

Maybe I should shave the dogs. Bet they’d shed less that way.

I’ll try to tonight. I meant to when she was wearing the Queen Elizabeth collar. We took that off ‘cause she can’t maneuver with it on.

Jr. just called. Vet says Abby’s progress is “phenomenal.” Also said that if the pin continues to do as well as it is that she may not have to have additional surgery to take it out. She gets her stitches out in four days.

Well good... so if it’s not causing problems the pin might be able to just stay in then?

Apparently. Which, for me, is a good thing, since it being “optional” probably means it’s not “paid for.”

I have too much to do this weekend (Luke's birthday, family company). I may need extra time tomorrow.

Do my "i's" look weak to you?

Ugh... we’re having company this weekend, and a party Saturday night, and the house needs some major attention.

At least I started Vroomba-chan the Robot Vaccuum before I left for work. That was Talon’s birthday present and all of a sudden the floors are way cleaner :)

Not perfect. It gets up a lot but it leaves clumps too. There’s no suction, just brushes, and big clumps of dog hair are too much for it. But every time I empty the tray there’s wads and wads of hair, so it gets some.

It works really well in high traffic areas and underneath stuff. Works on the hard floors and the industrial-style rugs we have. Apparently it’s no good at all on shag or deep-pile carpet but we don’t have any of that stuff.

I am really fascinated by the little thing. It’s just amusing, and very cleverly designed.

Vet says Abby’s progress is “phenomenal.”

That's wonderful news about Miss Abby Cat, Corin. It's amazing how resilient animals are! And resistant to pain, I mean, how many of us would prefer pain to the minor annoyance of a morphine patch! LSA

I know. And it’s people medicine. I have to admit looking at it last night and going “hmmm...”

You’re taking good care of her is why.

Bp in my right arm is 140 over 100, in my left it is 128/88.

An odd discrepancy and I’ve notified the doctor.

Still no results on my labwork.

I’ve noticed that the bp in both arms goes up drastically if I sit on one positin too long...so expect me when you see me!
