It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)
Well, Hawaii is getting a lesson in SEC defense and Football. The “Greatest offense in football history” is getting totally schooled by a fast, talented, & disciplined Georgia Defense.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.
Having perused it, I am more convinced than ever that the BCS is not about determining a championship, rather a contractural agreement about equal distribution of wealth, the flower bowl being a little more equal than the others.
As someone who grew up with the SEC {football heaven} Why play out in the smog when the better competion is here—present competion excepted.
I think crappy games will take care of that over time.
Do you wear a red blazer and white slacks to the "game after the parade"?
I hope the Gators are taking notes, because UF opens their season against Hawaii.
Lots of limping Rainbow warriors around the field.
2002 No. 22 Auburn 17 @ USC 24
2003 USC 23 @ Auburn 0
2005 Arkansas 17 @ USC 70
2006 USC 50 @ Arkansas 14
I was just a kid — but I did see Koufax and Drysdale at nearby Dodger Stadium.
I have never said USC {the one on the left coast} hasn’t had good teams. I see no reason to play in the Rose bowl when normally the better teams are here.
I would love to see UGA vs USC right now! Georgia has a very young team, maybe next year.
This year, USC played a No. 14, a No. 5, a No. 24, a No. 6, and a No. 13. Talk to Ohio State fans about schedules.
Georgia, heck. USC should be playing LSU and would be playing them if we had semifinals as well as finals.
No, they got their patsy to play today.
At least Georgia is playing a “undeated” team
{spell check is our friend}
Let’s compare “patsies.” Did undefeated Hawaii beat Ohio State?
This game is gonna end on Jan 2
Now who was it Ohio beat?
Oh yeah, kent st and akron did they play Bowling green this year? he he
Honestly, Georgia would beat LSU right now. It would have been easier a few weeks ago while they were so beat up.
And of course Ohio can clear this whole thing up with a strong showing against LSU.
This is pointless. We both hate the BCS system. Georgia is a good team and it is a shame they are stuck playing Hawaii. It was a shame USC was only given Illinois. I think if we could have 4 teams play off, then we’d still give the regular season its due, but we’d have a more deserving national champion. There will always be controversy about the final one or two slots in a playoff, but a team has less grounds to complain if it can’t make a cut of 4 than if it is left out of a cut of 2.
