It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...
--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...
During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.
Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)
Zags ended up beating us by 2, 61-59. Gonzaga had a very good plan to defend our starting center Luke Nevill by forcing a lot of double teams which prevents him from kicking it out on the wing to one of our guards. First half was kind of ugly though, neither team was shooting the ball well, but both defenses were very impressive.
I’m not too terribly worried about it though, since we’ve had a pretty tough non-conf schedule—playing Washington in the preseason NIT, Oregon in Portland (at the Rose Garden as opposed to Eugene), at Cal, and now at Gonzaga. I think we can scratch out 20 wins this year, which will probably get us an NIT bid.
We are going into Overtime in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl...anything to delay whatever this motorcycle jump think ESPN is about to air.
Overtime in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Clemson with the ball to start the first OT
Clemson gets the FG. Now it’s Auburn’s turn 1st and 10 on the 25
TD Auburn, AU wins it 23-20.
Great game!
I think I’d have gone for it on that 4th and 1 play too.
God, it has suddenly occurred to me that I have zero social life. It’s New Years Eve and I’m watching college football and surfing the Net.
Cripes, I’m not even drinking either. Just Pepsi.
Eh, at least I’m at work, and I’m not off til midnight. I’m doing absolutely nothing tonight myself. :-/
I do have a significant other (Laurie). But she’s been sick lately.
She’s recovering from throat surgery. I asked her earlier if she wanted to do something tonight and got an apathetic “No, not really”.
So I decided to stay home and watch some football. I’ll see her tomorrow...I think.
OK Thanks. I believe the game is replayed tomorrow morning on one of the FCS channels.
I’m looking forward to the football games tomorrow plus the outdooe hockey game.
I've been doing the same thing this afternoon and evening, and I won't even watch the ball drop in Hillary land.
I’d hate to be anywhere near Underground Atlanta tonight.
All the people there for the Peach Drop...people leaving Phillips Arena...people leaving the Georgia Dome...
Yikes.
The cops will be busy tonight.
For our UConn Huskies, Happy New Year. It'll be 2008 in a few minutes and have fun with basketball this year.
So you must have loved the Poulin Weed-Eater Independence bowl???
I can’t wait to see the hockey game either. A-Rod is on NBC now. Tiki Barber is too . HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Actually they already have an “Ultimate Pollo Bowl”, but it’s about food...I find it quite good.
Happy New Year 2008 from the east coast and from the state of CT, home of the UConn Huskies. We may not have won the Meneke Car Care Bowl, but our women and men’s basketball teams are on fire! The football has had a good season to build up on for next season with the returning players and incoming freshmen. It has been 15 minutes into 2008 and I am already very happy! Enjoy your wait out west in a few hours for the new year to come in. From Biggirl, good night and a good year ahead! =^..^= :)
Thanks for all that you do, GOP_Raider! :)
Happy New Year to our West Virginia Mountaineer fans that stopped by this year. Enjoy your reign as Big East Champs!
