As a bit of background, I consider won/loss but it isn’t necessarily my most important consideration. For example, sure Kansas is 11-1. So what? They lost to Mo and Mo lost twice to Oklahoma. I just can’t see ranking them ahead of Oklahoma.

I believe that the championship game selection should be much more broadly based than who has the best record. Being undefeated is a ‘so what’ to me. I believe the selection should be based upon an assessment of which two teams appear to be the best two teams. Right now, I think LSU, USC, and OU are the ones that fit that criteria best. I would lean towards LSU/OU as probably the two best teams, regardless of won/loss, in the nation.

As you can guess, I don’t think much of the fact that Hawaii is undefeated. Theres probably a dozen teams that would be undefeated playing their schedule so it’s a ‘so what’ to me.

Yes, by all means, hammer OSU for that schedule. That’s one of the reasons the computer ratings are important. They tend to emphasize things like strength of schedule better than the people rankings.

Sure, both LSU and OU have two defeats. LSU both loses came in triple overtimes. Overtimes are not necessarily representative of the strenght of the teams since a single play can win or lose a game. OU has two defeats as well. The one to Colorado is the most troubling. The one to TT doesn’t carry that much weight with me. OU played the game without Bradford who might be arguably the best QB in the Nation. OU still almost won that. Since Bradford is back, the loss is not that important.

Hawaii won with their backup QB playing games, they don't use a Bradford got hurt excuse for Brennan. They never lost. They beat Boise State who beat Oklahoma in a bowl game last year. An undefeated team deserves to play in the BCS Championship Game.

Tennessee lost to Cal who lost to Stanford and Tennessee beat Vanderbilt by only 1 point. Stanford who beat Cal who themselves beat Tennessee better than LSU did lost to Notre Dame. Notre Dame lost to Navy. Navy lost to Delaware. So clearly Delaware belongs in the BCS Championship Game.
