My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

LOL, well it is cold here. Raw cold, temps in the 20s, with very high humidity, goes right through a body. We did not get anything from the huge ice storm, yet.
So you are off for some R&R today??

Happy to hear that the ice storm has not hit you yet. They can be nasty especially when they cause power outages because of down power lines. Today is a precursor to going to the land of the big mouse. I need to do all of the logistical things that are required prior to departing for a few days. I managed to catch up on all of my work so right now I have an empty In-basket.

These people are not ABOUT environmentalism... they ARE about HYPOCRISY. Agreed whole-heartedly!
There is no doubt that it is pent up anger and frustration at their being incompetent and abnormal that makes them so mean, too.

I have someone to take care of Calli. That damn cat gives me hell when I go away. It takes her about two days to warm back up and acknowledge me being there.

I have a pair of these Red Breasted Nuthatches. I was standing right
next to the glass door looking at the feeder and finally saw both of them..
I was looking for the White Crowned Sparrows and just spied a pair.
It's a balmy 39 here. Brrr..Glad to be cozy inside.
