My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Sounds like makings of a pome!!
I wanna walk on the sandy beach
watch the surf break round my feet
feel the wind blowing free in my hair
not a care, not a care
a tropical mirage beyond the shore
waving palms, warm breezes fare
on a holiday - free from cold and care,
on a sandy tropical beach somewhere.

Southeastern MA just got enough snow to put a slim coat on ground and roofs. Bushes and trees look like they’ve been sprinkled with powdered sugar.
You couldn’t make a snowball without an oak leaf in it, generally speaking.

An old fashioned girl, I usually prefer poems that rhyme. This one, however, captured me so quickly that when I did notice the lack of rhyme I didn’t care.
The graphic goes great with it.

Our most snow fall happened over the weekend, but we have had snow throughout the week, nothing heavy- powered fine stuff. Made things a little slick. Temps remain in the 20s all day today.
