Washington, D.C. (November 17, 2007) -- The High-Definition TV picture is so clear that viewers can see Hollywood's biggest stars as they look in real-life.
Which can be a real eye-opener for the viewer.
Some celebrities who are named to 'Most Beautiful People' lists actually don't look very good in High-Definition.
Unable to hide behind fuzzy cameras and trick lighting, the stars' facial imperfections, aging signs and, sometimes, excessive plastic surgery, can be easily detected by the unforgiving lens of high-def.
However, stars who are naturally beautiful look even better in high-def.
With that in mind, Phillip Swann, president of TVPredictions.com, has just named his 4th annual "Best & Worst-Looking Celebrities in HDTV!"
And who's number seven on the Worst List?
Comedian Bill Maher!
Here's what Swanni has to say about how Billy looks in high-def:
"The star of HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher looks terrible in high-def. His pasty, Albino-like features makes the Pillsbury Doughboy look like he has a tan," Swanni says.

Bill Maher is ugly on the outside and even more ugly on the inside.
I read a few weeks back that the female stars are really upset with HDTV because, even with all of the make-up, all their flaws still show through. Every blemish, wrinkle, smudge of lip stick, gray hairs, etc., are very much visible with HDTV.
Ha, ha!
Maher's case disproves the old saying "You Can't Judge a Book By It's Cover"!

One of my favorite things to do is sit down with the woman who has done my nails, every two weeks for the past twenty years and go through the tabloids... it’s a great study in who’s over medicated, who’s overweight, who has had plastic surgery, who’s gay etc.
I love HD TV. I love seeing nature up close, so close you can see every hair on a hare, the dew on a leaf, the antennae on an ant. Maybe if the Hollywood stars would scrape the makeup off and just show us what nature gave them, they wouldn't look so grotesque.

A few months back Letterman had Emma Thompson as a guest. I’ve always had a “thing” for her so I stayed up to watch her.What a shock....she looked TERRIBLE! Now I just stick to football and National Geographic/PBS stuff.

A manicure last 2 weeks for you???? WOW how do you do that? I’m lucky if mine last 4 days.
LOL, some times it lasts two weeks, sometimes less. I’ve gotten a lot better and she keeps it pretty short. She is also there for emergency repairs.
I used to do a lot of gardening (death to manicures) now I am an artist, also hard on manicures, so I gave them up. I still get pedicures.
I love those new rubberized gardening gloves. And I love pedicures.
