If cops “turned up the notch” everytime we saw mayhem, our dial adjustment knobs would be broken in few days.
What’s so surprising about cops getting more upset when one of their friends gets killed?
It’s no more surprising than me getting more upset if my mom was raped than if I found out your mom was raped. I have no emotional investment in your mother and the reverse is true.
Your asking a bit much for cops to get emotionally invested in a victim they may have never met before, to the point where they feel the same anger and sadness that a relative or friend would feel.
RIP for the Deputy. Too bad the scum chose to surrender.
I am not saying they shouldn’t be emotionally involved. Their opinions are certainly theirs, but they need to publicly keep such arrogant remarks to themselves. I don’t care if they make them privately, but making public statements about “hunting down” people like the one officer did is beyond the pale.
I DO think they should hunt murderers down, and use every thing at their disposal. No matter who is murdered.
