I dunno. I quickly learned to not use German in Vienna, because I could not understand their responses. (Unlike Stuttgart, or really Schmieden, where I managed to find a place for a Sunday evening dinner only through my limited German.)

"Hey, good ta be seen, even if it's only virtual." Virtual reality is as close to virtue as some of us get.

The church calendar says "Christmas," but I haven't gotten any presents since the 25th. What gives? The better question would be "Who gives?" I'm still getting presents! My new washer will arrive tomorrow; I need to call Best Buy and find out what time!
We're being Historical, doing a song in Latin. It has the great benefit of having the melody written with the Latin words, so the words fit the notes! In English Christmas songs translated into Spanish, the Spanish versions have teeming fribbles of syllables that are absolutely exhausting.

Cool. Steven Brust has a son named Corwin, too.

"In English Christmas songs translated into Spanish, the Spanish versions have teeming fribbles of syllables that are absolutely exhausting." That's the trouble with fribbles.

Not now! I just got out of the blasted thing!
Surely I have a poem or two to do before the end of the year.

Surely you do! You could try writing a poem in Spanish - everything already rhymes :-).

"You could try writing a poem in Spanish - everything already rhymes" I don't know enough Spanish to write a Haiku.

If you tried to write a haiku in Spanish, it couldn’t have any verbs. The verbs have too many syllables!

"Arent fribbles born pregnant?" I think you're confused. Here's how it really works:
Every time a bell rings, a fribble gets its wings.
