And I may have a new favorite cheesy horror flick. A couple of nights ago TCM showed "The Terror" with Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson. I never knew that those two ever worked together. Aint that a match made in Helloween??
Anyway, I haven't watched it yet, but I've heard that Roger Corman only directed part of it and then Francis Ford Coppola directed some of it. That should make it interesting.
I just finish watching Babylon 5 Season 5 today. What an emotionally draining experience the last few episodes are.
I must comment that I do not know why so many people hate Grey 17 is Missing. While maybe the A story isn’t that good, or even makes any sense, the story of the conflict between Neroon and Delenn is excellent and the fight between Marcus and Neroon make it at least an adequate episode.
For my money the only really bad episode in the entire 5 years was A Late Delivery from Avalon. 109 out of 110 ain’t bad at all.
I found the movie collection today so I guess I will watch that next. From my memory, In the Beginning is the best movie and Thirdspace is the worst.
I have the first DVD release of The Gathering and In the Beginning but I don’t remember there being commentary with them.
It’s hard to believe that Richard Biggs and G’Kar are gone from us now.
I tried watching The Terror many times when I was younger but could never stick with it. Jack also has a cameo in the original version of Little Shop of Horrors which I think was produced for TV by Roger Coreman. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that one though.
ECW hs been renewed for one more year on the Sci-Fi Channel.
I guess it pays the bills.
Sheppard’s lesson on how to disable an enemy boarding party:
1. Strap your self in.
2. Accelerate the ship WITHOUT turning on the inertial dampeners.
3. Watch as the enemy gets thrown against the wall.
That plus McKay’s continuing frustration with Sheppard’s encounter with yet another “hot” alien chick made for a very enjoyable episode.
Odyssey 5 was pretty good, it gave a little more depth to the mystery.
Heroes looks good tonight as HRG and the Haitian look like they are going to kick someone’s read end.
I like the direction Atlantis was going much better..
As Maya and Alejandro cross the border, in a stolen car with Sylar, what should jump out of the bushes? Fifteen “fake border guards” in two trucks, who immediately begin pointing all sorts of firearms at them, then surround and start shaking the vehicle.
Maya promptly has an “episode” and kills all of the “fake border patrol”. I would go further, but I won't
