I never heard a thing about it until just now.
Here come a thousand un-funny posts containing UFO and alien pictures...
There is a show ‘UFO files’ or something like that, that gave has the story.

GREAT! picture of Art!
It’s a keeper. Thanks!
They’ll lie about it to their graves. The facts are already well known. An alien in his acorn/bell shaped craft lost power or control somehow and crashed in the forest at a relatively slow speed. When it came out it was shot by some law enforcement person. The OSI was involved as well as the military. They then sent the body and craft to Wright Patterson AB, and we all know about what happens there from the Roswell incident.
Anyway, this and other similar incidents gave rise to the X Files as second hand accounts(hollywood filter)of true stories. I feel sorry for that alien, crash landing on a planet(any landing you can walk away from is a good one)and then being shot/killed out of fear by the locals. Doesn’t say much for the kind of peaceful and intelligent people that we THINK we are...and aliens refer to us as “apes with guns”....with good reason....
Either you have seen a UFO or you have not.
Once you have, well, you tend to believe in them...
The sad fact is, their probably covering up the fact that the officer fired his weapon, not about the Alien.
This and all other files retained in a secret mountain base known only to ... no one in charge.

“The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.”
People, these incidents are classified defense research projects. They have been going on for eons. Area 51 and other places throughout the US...and yes the US runs live operations throughout the US when they get to the near operational status. Stealth aircraft were being run near the Appalachian mountains in roughly this same area in the early to mid 80s. How do they get away with that? The controllers don’t acquire them and “sightings” are mostly recognizing the sound of the aircraft. The next day people will report UFOs and the military has the story they want. Yeesh.
If there is anything to this, sounds like an entry vehicle like Soyuz to me. But hey, aliens is way more exciting, expecially when there is a conspiricy theory inolved. Whoohoo!
