The craft weaved and bobbed in the air before crashing, obviously not a soyuz or meteor, those are just blinds to fool the gullible public(move along folks, nothing to see here, move along...). Possibly. The first flight of a Soyuz capsule was in '66. May not be correct since the Soviet Space Program was shrouded in deep secrecy during that period. It could have been a Voskhod (which was their equivalent to Gemini).
