Now that I'm back I have a question that even you can look up.

Concerning the SEC (Pup's supposedly killer conference) and Big Ten........What was the percentage of wins in head to head games with the two conferences last year? The last decade? What has been Michigan's record against SEC teams in the last 20 years?

Bwahahahahahahahaha..........oh the irony......

Mere coincidence? Or something more sinister? Meanwhile, I refer you to Darlin's post 621. Notice that there are 4 "Big" 10 teams in the top 25, this being generous considering how few ranked teams (10) they actually dared to play. Additionally, 1 "Big" 10 team received votes but did not make the top 25. It played 2 ranked teams.

Further note that 5 SEC teams made the top 25 and played 22 ranked opponents. Four other SEC teams received votes and played 16 ranked opponents. Notice a trend here? Like the "Big" 10 playing mostly patsies and the SEC playing real football teams?

Now tell me again about why that Michigan-Ohio State BCS do-over you groveled for last season was justified because they were the bestest teams ever by golly by gee whiz. Ohio State. Michigan. Falling fast. :>)

By the way, do you guys chant, "we're number 23"?

ps--head to head games with the two conferences

There was only one that counted:

National Champion Florida 41--Ohio State 14

1st Downs 21-8 Total Yards 370-82 Passing 214-35 Rushing 156-47 Penalties 6-50 5-50 3rd Down Conversions 10-19 1-9 4th Down Conversions 2-3 0-1 Turnovers 0 -2 Possession 40:48 -19:12

Embarrassingly one-sided. Remember? Or was it forgotten while in mourning over Michigan's similarly humiliating defeat (18-32) at the hands of USC in the Rose Bowl?
