It is indeed. But as the cartoon clearly indicates, the guy possesses a sickly pale patina, a gut born from too much inactivity during year long winters and an obliviousness to the lovely girls nearby. Such characteristics indicate a Michigan tourist as surely as if the words "GO WOLVERINES" were tattooed on his belly. Hey! That's not pallor it is protective coloration.
