I forgot that line!!! This gal has been around for a few years. Was a big homer for the Yankees back in 2003 and 2004.

Colorado sure can pick better singers than Boston.

I don’t know. I hear that if the series goes back to Boston they will have Dropkick Murphys doing the National Anthem.

Yep, I'll take Carrie and Trisha over James Taylor anyday.
I saw Trisha sing the national anthem at a Braves game once.

"Nobody around here has the balls to say it, but I will, you are an arrogant prick. One's man's prick is another man's view of one that is opinionated.
All depends.
I live in Connecticut so considering the subject I will refrain from making any judgment.
That said, let's try to keep in the spirit of a baseball thread, we may not have much longer to talk about it.
Go Sox!!!

I’m still cringing from Boyz II Men during the 7th inning stretch in game 2.
To: CASchack
I’ve learned- I walk the dogs during the stretch:)

Good evening.
Taking a breath after the Pats.
Looks like it could be quite a memorable day for us Boston fans,
Good luck Rock fans.
**********
T Yearwood nailed the Anthem, most of the time
I wince through them.
That was excellent.

****Tonights a bittersweet night. It could be the last night of baseball until Spring. I expect the Sox to complete the sweep tonight.****
...plus if it ends tonight no Tim McCarver till next April. Yeah!!!

JT is a big lefty, like Tom Werner.

Oh my husband and I sang choir in HS (he was All State soloist all 4 yrs) so we are absolutely BRUTAL on people singing the Anthem.

Amen, I cooked dinner, the kids are ready for bed and my wife is cleaning up the mess. ;-D Sink's full of dishes, kids are back at my ex-wife's, and just had a drive through Mickey D's double cheeseburger for dinner.
Takes all kinds!

I wonder what gimmick McCarver will give us tonight. Last night, it was Sergeant Major Varitek. I’m waiting here with bated breath....
To: CASchack
Oh, I know... James Taylor, Tom Werner, Theo Epstein, John Henry and I think Larry Lucchino are big leftys. They openly campaigned for John F'in Kerry (while Curt Schilling campaigned for GW Bush...LOL).
I can't stand the Red Sox owners personally, but I'm grateful to them for finally giving us a World Series-caliber team (2004 and 2007), and for saving beautiful Fenway Park - built in 1912 - rather than razing it for some soul-less glitzy new 55,000-seat "stadium" that looks like all the other new stadiums.
