Is Weingarten’s still in business in Houston?

No, they were bought by somebody else (Kroger, maybe?) quite a few years back.

I can't keep track of what's still in business there anymore, as infrequently as I get back. You know Foley's is no more, right? That happened while I was over here. Macy's bought 'em.

However, another Houston institution, James Coney Island is still thriving and receives at least one visit from me whenever I go home.
