only two people could be looked to for daniels’ death - anna, the holder of the rx for liquid methadone, and howard, the dispenser of rx’s and enemy of Daniel, according to Daniel. Both Anna and Howie have said they knew nothing about any rx for methadone pills for daniel, according to printed statements at the time; Wecht said he did not know the origin of the methadone. - if monroe is now saying hks knew about a rx, then somebody’s fibbing. In fact, at the time, I recall that monroe made a distinction between Daniel dying from ‘pills’ and Anna being prescribed ‘liquid’.
yes, the fridge pic was after anna’s death, but from ford shelley statements, howard told him it was in the fridge the day of daniel’s death:
police report obtained by PEOPLE: The report also recounts Shelley saying that he saw Stern remove a brown pouch from under the mattress in the master bedroom, after which Stern explained, “He had to keep the pouch out of Anna’s reach.” According to Shelley, Stern added, “Methadone is also kept in the fridge in Anna’s room.”
Shelley has elaborated on the story, explaining that when moving Anna’s mattress into another room (broken air conditioner), the bag-o-drugs fell out as they lifted the mattress, with Stern telling Ford’s wife to put it ‘in a secure place’ (imow)
imo, if the methadone was ‘flushed’ from anna’s system, then the only person to point a finger at would be howie baby - keeper of bag-o-drugs, enemy of Daniel. and as howie said less than a week before anna died, he wasn’t about to take the fall. If a deal was struck between LB and HKS prior to Anna’s death, it would be in both’s best interest for methadone to be found in anna’s system, dead or alive. HKS was not Anna’s friend. imo
Also, looks like Shane Gibson and wife were both in the room when the cops arrived.
Also, they're say one of the pills in Howard's bed was methadone.
I can sure think of a lot of reasons why Howard didn't want to give up his DNA.
