So was Danny moving when the nurses saw him "sleeping" by his mom. When would the drugs effectively make him incapacitated?
This is in the time frame when Howard approached the nurses desk...(4:00).

If Daniel had injested methadone prior to leaving Los Angeles, and given a 4-6 hr window, he would probably have been dead prior to arriving at his first stop. imo Monroe is no more convincing in his antics than Artie
