I remembered a salve my grandmother used to have that she put on all our boo-boos. This is a site for info it but buying from them is EXPENSIVE. I have seen it on Ebay before, It works. I am going to hunt for some as soon as I get some time (haha) to dose my skin tags and moles.

I’m not absolutely certain but I believe the origin of this is related to use on farm animals. My brother married a farm girl and that’s where I got the information.
Did a little searching. Icthymol Ointment. It’s available at Walmart according to “someone”. Pharmacists know a lot. He/she’s your best source. Medicine has progressed in 50 years!!
Thanks for the info. The website linked messed with my puter (still using my old virusy one, until the BionicHand and BadFinger get healthier - for some reason, the virus monster has been on its best behavior for 2 weeks) so I couldn’t read the details.
I won’t try anything else for a while, until all the prescription ointment is gone, since it was all the “other stuff” that messed it up so badly before. It does still *look* bad, so I’ll eventually call the doc and ask if there’s anything else I can do to make the scarring go away.
At least I have coerced the BionicHand (my right hand, mouse hand, with injured right-click finger, when covered with ointment, a white cotton Mickey/Minnie Mouse “therapeutic” glove, then covered over that with a vinyl disposable glove, can “do anything” in the kitchen - not too hot at the puter, tho) to help with Thanksgiving preparations. *that’s some progress* Had to promise no pumpkins to be scraped, unlike last year!
I have gone AMA and covered each hand at various times the past 3 days, just to perform household chores and shopping. I was appalled to see that now my hands are all wrinkled up like a 90-year-old’s when the ointment is not on them. It seems to have dried them out badly - or maybe the BP meds have done that.
If I had made a living as a hand model, I could now be on disability! However, I *didn’t.* Thanks again - keeping the link in my notes.
