Members of the crime scene unit, who could be seen taking photos and video of the outside of the home, are investigating a burglary complaint filed by Stern, said Reginald Ferguson, assistant commissioner for the Royal Bahamas Police Force. He wouldn’t disclose further details about the case.
but here’s the much-overlooked part:

I was going from memory of when they burst on the tv after a long wait for that press conference but my old brain had banked it about that time. Surprise, I had it right! That is rare without checking notes for me.
But, you must have not had your coffee yet for one. lol
You say treated as crime scene but the transcripts show it was NOT being treated as a crime scene. This is an important one I think many over looked. At the time I kept watching and waiting.. but .. saw nothing to indicate this changed. INCLUDING, Stern! Important to note.. Chief DID NOT KNOW where Stern was!!!! This verifies they indeed did not treat this even seriously from the start to me. It was those two things that stuck in my mind and I have no idea how 5 pm stayed with them but it did. My mental picture (from shock of the matters) of a chief, a death, bagging evidence ... but forked tongue says not a crime scene AND no idea where Stern is!! Unbelievable to me.
QUESTION: Is this being treated as a crime?
