The Microbiologists who participated in the autopsy noted "several SIGNIFICANT findings". The autopsy states, "Alternatively, the introduction of foreign material via cutaneous injection into the buttocks served as a nidus for a localized infection that then spread into the blood. The possibility that a contaminated product was injected into the tissues cannot be excluded since the likely substances injected into the buttocks could not be attained or analyzed." The fact that Perper chose to overlook this finding is remarkable. You would think a forensic pathologist would be drooling to get to the bottom of such a rare finding. No pun intended.

The Microbiologist suggests that the bacterium has been known to be contracted in the ocean (via open wound probably such as the one on her buttocks). That is a outside possibility, but at the very least, a good detective pathologist would make note of any report of these bacterium being contracted in bathers in the Bahamas.

Except Sunday... lab tests could not find anything. They tested directly from the cyst.. nothing.

I find it interesting Perper completely failed to mention the cultures his pals said “yielded”

Viridans group streptococci and
Coagulase-negative staphylococci

All the biological facts are "Greek" to me! I do remember reading that Dr. Perper 'thanked Khristine Eroshevich for helping him make his decisions.' For this reason alone, I would question seriously anything he said. KE had a personal interest in what was found in ANS' autopsy, and should NEVER HAVE BEEN USED by Perper to help form his opinion.

I'm suspicious of Dr. Cyril Wecht because he has come 'unglued' when there has been discussions about Daniel's and ANS' autopsies. If there's nothing wrong with his or Perper's autopsy conclusions, then I would think they wouldn't mind if the bodies were exhumed and another reputable forensic scientist did a second autopsy. Wecht's behavior and the fact that Perper relied on KE in making his decisions, indicates there needs to be further studies or another autopsy of Daniel and ANS. IMHO
