Hey - I don’t write ‘em - I just post ‘em:)

If you want strange - I have been re-reading the first Anna threads - immediately after Daniel’s death and before her own.

Rte was on target - over a year ago!

Heaven forbid, lol. I knew *next to nothing* about Anna Nicole and Daniel, except what had come through osmosis because she had been in our local news for so many years.

I was shocked at myself for even knowing who Daniel was, much less knowing who Howard K. Stern was - but I did. Even knew some of the now-too-cruel-to-ponder “back-stories” rumored for years, too. Remember, I haven’t had or wanted cable TV in at least 30 years. Never laid eyes on the ANShow - but Conan O’Brien used to do a parody of it almost every night.

Anyway, I’m thinking a lot about Daniel now, while I’m working on the Case Name List revision and going through my notes.

We know so little about his life, but I have to *guess* that he died without a will. Still, there *should have been* a trust fund in his name, with little or nothing in it yet. I don’t mean anything JHMII did, because he didn’t do anything directly in that regard. I believe Virgie was wrong about that.

However, he was still a human being with whatever “estate” a young man has accumulated. He had personal belongings - maybe a car and other such stuff worth a few hundred or few thousand dollars. He may have resids from the Aliens movie, if that’s what he signed up for - or ROI on the money he put into it as an investment. I’m sure it was probably small enough to fly under the radar and not worthy of any claims on it.

It’s also a lot more probable that Anna would have had life insurance on Daniel, rather than the reverse (Daniel having life insurance on his mother) - so, will there be any payoff on that? We’ve never heard. But, if so, that is an asset of *his* estate.

It’s also possible that JHMII might have funded an insurance policy on Daniel as a youngster that would give him savings benefits as an adult. How would we ever know, if HKS had his clutches on that - or worse, if JHMII and ANS were the only people on earth who knew about it?

For all we know, Daniel had one or more of those numbered Swiss bank accounts or some cash stashed in Bahamian or Cayman or Jersey Isles accounts that if discovered, HKS would say he had put in there for Daniel’s future trust (but it wouldn’t be true, just a front).

Still, if HKS really believed in his “client’s” Marshall claims, as he should have, since he was part of the litigation team - then the same reasoning that gave Anna claim to that would give Daniel a claim to his mother’s estate.

I don’t mean “estate” as in what’s being probated after her death, but “estate” being the bulk of her assets and net worth, including the Marshall “claim,” as well as ownership of her likeness and images.

IOW, at the time of his death, Daniel would have had a claim on the Marshall estate, in proportion to any offspring of Anna. If she died first before DL was born, he would have all of it, whatever “it” was - and if she had died in the interim 3 days after DL’s birth, but before Daniel’s death - it would have been “half” of Anna’s assets, shared equally with Dannielynn/Hannah Rose.

And that “claim” means quite a large asset for Daniel’s estate, which *should* be probated. Then there’s also the matter of his father, Billy, being *another* of the beneficiaries of his estate at the time of his death, when his mother was *also* still alive.

I can understand that any handling of Daniel’s “estate,” such that it is, would have to wait until after the inquest, but because of Anna’s death, it really needs to be explored now.

Memories of Anna Nicole’s gravesite
by Laura Ingle
I found my pictures from Anna Nicole’s funeral I was telling you about earlier this week, (they were saved on my office computer, not home laptop!)

Here’s the back-story: While in the Bahamas getting ready to cover Smith’s funeral, our Fox team went over to the graveyard the night before to set up our live shot location, get the tents set up, and our space marked off, etc.

We were not alone, many other media outlets were on hand doing the same, which included a local reporter with his cameraman. He reminded me of an MTV VJ … exuberant, and flashy. I am pretty sure, this is Lincoln Bain, who I keep seeing on our air, representing Anna Nicole’s nannies, with the Rita Cosby book controversy. It’s a little hard to see his face, but I have it burned into my memory, and I believe this is him attempting an interview…
You may recognize the uniform of the person who he is trying to interview… she is a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver, and was delivering pizzas to the grave diggers at Anna Nicole’s plot! (her grave was being dug under the green tents you see)

Yes, even grave diggers get hungry I guess.

I couldn’t believe that I was really watching pizza being delivered to Anna Nicole’s grave as workers were digging the hole. In some strange way, I don’t think she would have minded.

I’ll have to try to find Rte66’s early posts. Any links? Thanks.
