He took blood from one of his HIV+ patients - went to her home and injected her. The story was so preposterous that no-one believed her. But, a check of all phlebotomies charts and vials - proved her suspicions were correct. DNA was used to ID the strain of HIV and the donor patient.

No one with two degrees and his years of experience could be unknowingly making up as many lies and contradictions as this creep did even with KE’s influence. He had his mind made up according to the expert addendum reports from the get go (before talking to KE) that he was going to do everything he could to make this a natural death. It was the toxicology and CH that brought the spins. Even then, he sticks with the bacteria hype that isn’t supported. Unbelievable. I am sure KE had some influence but all indications in his very public dialog all along was he was hell bent on trying to make this natural.

At the very least he was incompetent. The question is why wasn't he fired. This made me wonder about his connection to influential people such as Dr. Michael Weston - who is not to be confused with the British author Michael Weston. There appears to be nothing there.

You make a good argument that Perper was determined to make the death appear from natural causes from the start. If true, why? To protect the killer. Again why? Was he blackmailed? Bribed?

We were led to believe that Wecht & Perper had a professional split. Apparently that was misleading - it wouldn’t be surprising if they discussed Daniel’s & Anna’s killings. Phone call logs???? What were they hiding and why? What could possibly be worth more than your reputation for integrity and professional competence?

This goes much deeper than the media spin, *train-wreck Anna*.

I have NEVER been a *conspiracy nut* but am seriously troubled why so many *professional* physicians, lawyers, judges and media outlets are so determined to clear HK$ and KE of complicity in this case. It is a much more complex story than Britney, Lindsay or Paris Hilton...we have two dead people FGS!

You raise good questions. Why would Perper risk this much? Also, why has he not been fired? Phone call logs can prove significant. I agree the Perper vs Wecht split was a red herring.

I too am surprised that after the initial media frenzy over ANS, suddenly trivial stories are repeated and little about this possible double homicide even though the case has everything the media loves - money, celebrity, power, sex, murder, coverup, drugs, hint of a conspiracy, etc.

Has Nancy Grace covered this case recently other than having Perper on as an "expert"? Or has he bought time, like an advertiser, to get on the show? Good for Geraldo for scoring a huge scoop.

But what does that say about all these weight-loss products that claim to have hoodia in it? Trimspa says its X32 pills contain 75 mg of hoodia. The company is pushing its product with an ad campaign featuring Anna Nicole Smith, even though the FDA has notified Trimspa that it hasn’t demonstrated that the product is safe.

I don’t know if this is old or what.How can you use someone that is dead on a ad campaign?

Me too. Extremely strange how nothing has been reported about his prior life. Somebody claimed he once played football. His mother might have stayed at home until he started grade school or thereabouts. If one has a police record as an adult, it would be public information but spending time in a mental hospital would not.

Another thing that bothers me is the commitment video. Several here have questioned would Anna have been celebrating like this so soon after Daniel's death and DL's birth? Was she drugged or was it an impersonator?
