I don’t buy it sod.

No one with two degrees and his years of experience could be unknowingly making up as many lies and contradictions as this creep did even with KE’s influence. He had his mind made up according to the expert addendum reports from the get go (before talking to KE) that he was going to do everything he could to make this a natural death. It was the toxicology and CH that brought the spins. Even then, he sticks with the bacteria hype that isn’t supported. Unbelievable. I am sure KE had some influence but all indications in his very public dialog all along was he was hell bent on trying to make this natural.

At the very least he was incompetent. The question is why wasn't he fired. This made me wonder about his connection to influential people such as Dr. Michael Weston - who is not to be confused with the British author Michael Weston. There appears to be nothing there.

You make a good argument that Perper was determined to make the death appear from natural causes from the start. If true, why? To protect the killer. Again why? Was he blackmailed? Bribed?
