Monday Night Football
Posted on 10/08/2007 9:38:20 PM PDT by longhorn too
This had to be one of the best games on MNF ever. Even though Romo had 5 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns) and 1 fumble he Cowboys were able to pull it out 25-24 with a 53 yard field goal as time ran out. If Romo plays next week against the Patriots like he did to night, will be a long night for the Cowboys. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS.

One thing about Romo, as bad a game as he played, he never gave up and hopefully will learn some valuable lessons from this game.

“Romo had 5 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns) and 1 fumble”
And the Bills still lost? Ouch.

How Bout Those 5 Interceptions!
Romo is still a young QB vulnerable to mistakes, and it will show deeper into the season.
Props to the rookie kicker nailing the FG - TWICE!
Bills offensive coaching - moronic. Throwing a pass at the Dallas 10? Ugh.

The year escapes me, but I was sitting at my favorite pub with a bunch of Cowboy haters, of which there are many in the SF Bay Area, listening to their taunts, and the Cowboys won in double overtime! The only thing that would’ve made this game better for me was sitting in that same pub, watching it with that same crowd.

I Loved it, That last 30 seconds of the game was Fantastic.

I take it your not a football fan!

T.O. was horrible tonight, also. He dropped like 8 or 9 passes and only caught a couple. Special teams allowed a huge return for a touchdown and defense wasn’t all the good either. The whole team must have snuck out last night and went drinking with Romo buying the shots. I hope they shape up for next week!

The game had its own thread.
Yeah, but a rookie kicker hits two field goals in a row at the buzzer. That has to be worth something.

5 interceptions and one fumble turn over by Romo. A kickoff returned for a TD by the Bills. TO getting the 2 point conversion pulled from his hands in the endzone to prevent the overtime with only 20 seconds left on the clock. The recovered on side kick by the Cowboys. The challenge turning over the catch by TO putting the Cowboys in field goal range, resetting the clock, even after the Cowboys snapped the ball to stop the clock. (That should be an interesting discussion. They ran a play before the booth said "challenge".) Getting back in field goal range. Kicking the game winning field goal only to be told it didn't count because the Bills called a time out and then kicking it again.
That about sums it up. One of the most incredible finishes I've ever witnessed to any game, much less a Monday night game. A tip of the hat to the Cowboys for pulling it out.

They are going to have to change that rule about the coach calling a time out just before the ball is snapped, but the Dallas kicker put right back through a second time from 53 yards. I think the Cowboys have finally found themselves a kicker!
Yeah, that was BS. But while I was beating holes in the walls my wife asked, "what if he had missed?" Interesting - especially if he missed the first time and made it the second. Still, they need to change that idiotic rule. They will. A kicker indeed!

Call me paranoid, but I think Romo suffers from night-blindness.
Throwing into double and triple coverages was insane.

suffers from night-blindness I thought the same thing, Romo get those eyes checked out, GREAT game & I'd Love to watch it all over again, WOW.

Man to be a Bills fan and get your hearts broken again by the Cowboys.

LOL...I went out today and bought 15 Tony Romo jerseys for my family and friends. By the end of the third quarter, I thought I had jinxed him for sure.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it matters in the last 2 minutes with automatic booth review.

There was just enough time left (:18 seconds) after we were treated to seeing George Steinbrenners’ team go down to defeat, to catch the dramatic win of the Cowboys.

What a week it has been. Rockies are rolling, Yankees are out, and the looks on the faces of the Buffalo fans was...priceless. I thought they would storm the field after the field goal, but they just stood there in shock for a long time after the game was over.

I hate to break it to you, but I think you had 1 too many at the pub that night. There aint no such thing as "double overtime" in the NFL, unless you are talking playoffs, and that certainly didn't happen with those 2 teams.
