Hasn’t he been doing the week-end shows for a while? On the air, he seems to be happier than he was when he went through his troubles.

Same here. I was on the ArtBellFans discussion group just prior to joining FR. I had basically all of them raging at me for my viewpoints. They couldn’t put coherent thoughts together.

One guy in particular took me on in a long-ranging debate, MJ-SETI. Eventually, he read the book that I kept hammering away with — “Intercept UFO” by Renato Vesco — and it opened his eyes and he changed his view. It was a classic debate.

After that, MJ-SETI was kinda mean to all the other folks on the list, so it wasn’t as much fun because, of course, they all thought it was some kind of tag team conspiracy thing.

Art “semi-retired” a few months ago, but said he’d be doing fill-ins. This is the first one.

Art Bell shares a few recent photos of his family.

A guy went to a convention regarding ghosts. The moderator asked the crowd how many of them believed in ghosts. Every hand went up. He asked how many had seen a ghost. About half the hands went up. He asked if anyone had physical contact with a ghost. About 1/4 of the hands went up. Then, the moderator asked if anyone ever had sex with a ghost. A guy in the back raised his hand. The moderator said, “Sir, you claim that you have had sex with a ghost?” The guy said, “Oh, I thought you said goat.”

I don’t believe most of what I hear on Art Bell but I find him, his guests and his show very interesting and entertaining. He has a great voice.

He sure is one of a kind! Good to hear him even if it’s just a fill-in shot.

Agree. I think Art Bell is up there with the greatest of all time in radio. The voice, the timing, pacing and tempo of the show... Were always simply world class.

Sure, most of the content was hoakum. But Art could do a late-night show on needlepoint technique and it would probably be engauging.

I got hooked on Art in a time dozens of years ago when I commonly found myself commuting a few hours home late at night. Its good stuff to drive long distances to.

I find Kook to Kook amusing, and on rare occasion, interesting, but one has to consider the base that they play to. It is large and it is how they make their money.
I have no problem with that as long as sensible people
recognize the show for what it is...sci-fi entertainment.
How else would we know that ET and bigfoot are lurking in our yards ;)

I have started Googeling their regular guest, as well as those I have never heard.
Try this. Pick any one and add “fraud” to the search.
For example Google “Richard Hoagland fraud”
The same works for Linda Moulton Howe, Sean David Morton, Alex Jones...most any of them. You may be quite surprised.

I do wish Art Bell best of luck even though in his last days, he seemed a bit too dogmatic and condescending.
