Look out for the Texans this year...
They look dumb.
My vote for the most annoying TV commercial of this young NFL season as that McDonald's commerical with the two white kids rapping about Chicken McNuggets on the street corner.
Only got 3 out of it..not good. Buffalo played some good D on that drive.
I think Rex reminds me a lot of Phillip Rivers. A rather clumsy second year guy that is surrounded by an excellent team. Griese is not the answer though. He throws a lot of pics in pressure situations and he is not the future. I would rather them turn to Orton. He manages the ball well but isn't terribly exciting.
They are going to blitz Rex a lot tonight. Part of the problem is that Thomas Jones isn't there anymore to pick it up. Benson isn't a very smart blocker. I look for a low scoring game. If the Bears manage the ball well, they win even if Rex is in the game. If they fumble it away, they lose.
Texans are the most improved team this year. I predict 10-6 for he year.
Colts get TD and its tied at 7 now. :(
Nice tackle on Wilfork by the Bills lineman...right into Losman's knee.
Could be a QB controversy brewing in Buffalo. This rookie Edwards is looking pretty sharp. Loseman might not make it back into this game.
I agree and that is only if Grossman doesn’t screw it up. You are right Benson is not a good blocker like Thomas Jones was..
Truth is, I think Rex is improving. He doesn't try to throw the ball into coverage when pressured. I watched Rivers do it two times in the last two games. He doesn't fumble the ball when he is hammered and he is finally learning to throw the ball away when everyone is covered. His footwork is measurably better and except for the bobbled snaps in the first game, he wasn't the reason that the Bears lost in San Diego the next week.
He reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. Smallish guy with a big arm. His recognition skills are a work in progress. If Griese or Orton were better, they'd be in the game. It would be nice if the Bears had a Carson Palmer but unless they find one like him in free agency, it is not happening soon. I think Rex is not only going to be the starter this year, but next year also (barring any deals).
I know this isn’t going to last, but it’s fun watching so far ;)
Ronnie Brown is on fire today. Broke off a 42 yard run after a reception, just scored a TD.
Defender all over Gaffney at the goal line...had him hooked well before th ball got there.
Wow. New England didn’t even cover Price. If Edwards had thrown high enough for Price to catch it standing up, it’d have been at least 20 yards run after the catch.
If the Patriots don’t get going here Buffalo could get another TD.
The Pats secondary is prety weak, I cringe every pass play knowing how bad they can be.
FUM-BLE near the goal line! What will the replay say?
Brady fumbles as going into endzone. Challenge flag on the field. If the Bills get the ball it will be a huge mistake by Brady. Pats are sleepwalking in this game...better turn it around here.
They're pretty bad, but at this rate they might start wearing them every week...
Don’t know why Buffalo didn’t challenge the spot of the ball after the fumble — it looked like it ended up in the EZ. Now it may cost them a safety...
BTW this Week 3 I’m picking the way too cocky, over their heads Deadskins losing to Manning and the Giants. The Iggles with make Detroit 3-0 and Philicheese’nsoddities will riot in the street where McNabb lives. The Browns will come back down to earth and find a way to lose to the Raiders and get back on the track of giving the Cowboy’s the first pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
And Allegra’s Texans are going to really surprise the world and beat the Colts to go 3-0 for their first time in history and we will have to, of course, have Allegra airlifted home for tender loving care & treatment the rest of the season in good ol’ Section 530.
Of course... my ‘Boys will beat the Bears black & blue 31-10...
Gadzooks, just one hour in and there is good news and bad news to be told.
McNabb and the Iggles... apparently lost their uniforms and decided to play in outfits borrowed from a passing sheik's harem.
And, crap, they are so embare-assed, they lead the Lions 35-7 with about 11 minutes left in the half.
Outside the beer being cold and plentiful... the only good news from Phili is I have McNabb on one of my fantasy teams!
The Dolts lead Allegra's Texicans 14-10 near the half.
