It’s fun and even sort of interesting, but I don’t think there’s really much of a debate. It’s pretty clearly CGI.

Not much of a debate since a French CGI artist has admitted creating it on his computer. FOX news was just talking about it this morning.

FOX and Friends were talking about it this morning. It was made by a French computer graphics expert. I didn’t notice but apparently one clue was that the palms are all copies of the same tree.

Yeah, there’s something not quite right about the palms, and lighting effects. It’s darn good, but the human senses are hyperaware to these these things. I think they can get away with it even beyond the usual bounds because it was supposed to look like a home video and obviously YouTube isn’t exactly high resolution.
I also wondered why it cuts off at 0:22 seconds? I mean is anyone really going to filming or trim the clip that early if it is real?

How come this was moved to general chat? Cripplecreek noted it is being discussed on Fox News now - isn’t that news?

I would be far more inclined to believe a less perfect video.

You wouldn’t think that a spacecraft that flew many light years to vist our planet would need left rudder, right aileron & a high bank to make a left hand (do they have hands?) turn.

If they traverse the galaxy to visit Haiti, that pretty much shoots the “higher intelligence” theory to hell.
