A small tribute to our troops, by showing what they carry every day, in every kind of weather.

This particular Marine seems to be a member of an engineer unit, since there's a lot of high-explosive toys displayed beneath his rifle. A grunt would carry a couple of extra loaded ammo boxes for a SAW, or a couple of belts of ammo

The larger version of the photo (got a red X the last time) shows what looks like a non-standard revolver to the right of his helmet. There's also a black Gerber multitool to the right of the 40mm grenades, and what might be a Hobbit Hole knife to the right of the M-16 magazines.

Standard issue! Wouldn't that be something if it was one of ours.

Good Morning ALL: Excellent picture, a different photo than the usual ‘junk on the bunk’. re: the pistol handle, flare gun? That does look like a HH issue knife all right.

G’nad: radar showed you getting a bit of rain last night, was enough to coax Gunner out of the pond?

All’s quiet in our part of theshire, it was cool enough to venture further than Gypsy’s usual ‘hot weather’ loop walk. She appreciates the A/C though. Gots to harvest another crop of peppers, heat hasn’t affected their output.
