Glad to hear you all are okay up there. Firewood storage on the roof isnt one weve heard before. :-)
I hauled one down with a weighted rope. It was too close to flipping off and landing on cars. The other branch, well the other big one, is bigger around than my arm and at least 20 feet long. It hangs down in the back but if I toss a rope up and drag it down it is likely to really do a number on the gutters as it goes by. So it is going to be there a while.

I think Corin’s point was that the killer was apparently glad that he had guns in the house when he found her with someone else... :-\
At work. Can I go home now?

To: Corin Stormhands
Well...I kinda thought that, too, but I wasn’t gonna go there. ;-)

Well, it is definitely indicative of something that just about every present Talon has gotten me has been lethal.

This is the result of some bad math in the early stages causing it to be more of a trapezoid than a rectangle.... *grumble**snort* Been there, done that!

Ooo! Going to the Opera? Cool!
Clare and I are going to a concert of an Early Music choral group on Friday night. They're doing their Renaissance Christmas program; it's lovely. And on Saturday night, a friend and I are going to a Messiah Sing in Lexington!

The Met just started a new program last year wherein you can go watch operas at certain movie theaters. In HD. Like their “Live from the Met” radio program, only on an entirely different level. Very cool! Mom would have LOVED this idea... And the local theater (which I’ve never been to) is one of the participating ones. I’ve not been to the theater since moving to WA, but I think I will for this...

I just got my Christmas present — no more GOP presidential debates until after the Iowa caucuses.

I just saw the video of Fred rhetorically stomping on the goober moderator. It was schweet!

I finally got
a pic of my Oaxacan tree. I've had a terrible time with my camera - it is too smart for it's own good and keeps doing all sorts of crazy calculations with the colors... so the real colors aren't captured *at all*. Everything is very, very saturated IRL - lots of deep blues and turquoise. So far, no one has been offended by the dumb thing. There's still time for me to try harder.
