So, I owe yall an update.
So she bit her tongue really bad in the fall and it was all swollen up. So bad that she had to have a tube and ventilator. They were hoping it would go down and they could take those out and it has gone down, but not enough so they took her in for a tracheotomy this morning (ow). I have not heard anything since from Empress (She is only updating twice a day or less) so I assume it went ok. She has been doing pretty well other than that and is pretty alert and awake when she is not out from the drugs. Mostly sleeping a lot with the drug IV drip (mmmmmmmm eh? what?). What I heard yesterday was that if they had to do the Trach (which they did) then the time frame for her going home is next Saturday perhaps. They could not be sure about and neural issues with her being able to talk (no tube) and answer questions for a 'full work up'. So now we will start to know more. My older sister went out and on Tuesday, My brother gets out there today, we go Saturday, there are already a slew of aunts and a cousin or two there or have been there. And of course dad and Empress are there and not getting nearly enough rest these days. So prayers for the tongue , the throat and all concerned would be most appreciated. Sorry for not posting much. I mostly FR at work (as you may know) and since that has been really busy this week I have not been around much. She had had a tube in for drainage of her ribs but that got out yesterday so I guess those are doing ok.Over all not too bad. I will let you know more as we do.

...Heh... Well, if we can get some verification of it's accuracy, I'll pint the doggie list. I'm just a little suspect of email forward thingies.

Well, as much as enjoy “Grandma-Reindeer”, Charlie Brown with “Christmastime” is classic that will endure for year.

Haven’t heard much about a singing Walleye to follow up on the success of the singing Bass. Oh well, maybe next year.

Hey, ExGeeEye, have you started your countdown to the big day yet?

Saturday, OB and I are supposed to go to the wedding of a son whose parents’ wedding we witnessed 25 years ago. Talk about events that make you feel old!!

Boss left radio on the station he prefers and left the room. It’s actually his MP3 player, so I don’t really want to just adjust it.

It’s playing “La Bamba”. This will be stuck for *days* now.

Well...unless they followed that up with the UB40 version of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You”. Which they did.

*bangs head on desk*

I’m conflicted...in some ways I hope it’s true because using puppies as scam bait is just wrong. In other ways, I hope it isn’t true, for obvious reasons.

Using puppies as bait sounds cruel. Also, I think they are too big to stay on the hooks.

Not to mention that few things get older faster than bad Christmas novelty tunes.

Not to mention overwrought versions of old Christmas tunes like "A Christmas Song" or "White Christmas", and maudlin new ones like "Grown Up Christmas Wish".

I’m debating between that and the Charlie Brown skating pond that plays “Christmastime.”

At least the Charlie Brown music is nice stuff; not schlock. Do you have a copy of The Snowman on DVD? I figured y'all must have seen it already, but if you haven't, try to get it from Netflix, or see if your library has it. Luke would love it! And that one has some beautiful music! "Walking in the Air" is one of my favorites, as is the "Snowman Christmas Party".

My least favorite of all are the KAJILLION versions of John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas”.

*shudder*

I really like that photo, thanks for posting it.

Thank the unknown genius who took the picture, and the one who thought up the caption.

This one fits my current situation more accurately:
