(I knew it was someone in your clan...) How are they treating the MRSA? How’d they find out he had it?
He developed a really bad infection in his leg and they diagnosed it as MRSA. But, my mom just called and the test he had yesterday came back negative. So, that’s a good thing.
They still want to run some tests on his heart this week though. Just in case.
I just...don't want.
I started this blanket last night. I have to laugh at the three hour estimate, as I usually do at such things. These people are either insanely fast or on a different clock or both...
It's thick, but looks nice, even with my usual too-tight stitches. Little niece likes yellow, so I'm gonna do this instead of the ripple I was working on. I'll make it more rectangular than the one in the pictures on that page, so it's more of a regular baby blanket size.
I'm only six months late, but...
They had soooo many nice colors in the wool blend yarns, though. *sigh* ‘Fi were rich...
*snort* Love that movie!!
I like that blanket! Looks like a shell stitch.
You should request Michael’s Gift Cards for Christmas. ;o)
It almost is a shell stitch...but they end up being almost little diagonals since the first stitch is a single crochet rather than double. I have another pattern that’s a full shell, but it’s all done in triple crochet stitches, which I’ve never been good at. We’ll see how that one goes...
It’s really thick, because of the double strands. Means it’d make a nice lap blanket, I think! I’d like to make one about twice as wide with some sort of earthy colors...it’d probably come out a little tweedy looking. Nice for a couch.
Unfortunately, I appear to be the only one who things that a light grey should be a staple color for yarn. They had a really dark grey and a few combination colors, but nothing else.
Jo-Ann would be better. ;-) But I think I want books more than yarn. I have an easier time justifying yarn purchases, for one, since I can tell myself I’m making stuff for other folks!
That *is* a good thing! (tho MRSA is sooo fashionable right now...)
Unfortunately, everything I learned about negotiation, I learned from that movie. :(
Anyone else want to negotiate?
Bah, nevermind that. I'm happy to have a friend in addiction.
Perzactly.
My stepdad is many things, but he’s never been fashionable...
yup... we'll be on the road in about 45 minutes... thevans all packed...
we've been in contact with some of the homeschool groups there... they've info'ed us on activities, places to go, etc... they've been more than helpful...
got a laptop from werk so I'll be around...
thanks fer the prayers...
Talon, prayin' fer yer mom...

Heh...now I wanna see it again.
