I have the marvelous task of telling muh peers that I’m jumping ship. I got an appt w/ my boss’ boss for Friday and I suspect I’ll have to go sit in my boss’ boss’ boss’ office, too, at some point. No matter. I’m writing down notes and categorizing them three ways: “Reasons why it had to be done”, “Reasons why I’m reluctant to go” and the doozies: “Reasons that made it a very easy decision.” Heh.
All I have to do is make it through the next 10 days and 17 shows.
Seriously...I know we've gone back and forth on this and I know I said I wouldn't do the show this year. But this really has been the most difficult of years. I'm not sure what it is, but everyone is feeling it. When teenage guys in the dressing room are saying they want it to be over, then you know we have issues.
I'm simply exhausted. Today I have a bored meeting and tonite a performance. I woke up dreading not the bored meeting, but the performance.
I think that means it's time...

Getting close to Caturday...and they’re using the “S” word.
They used the possibility of S word last night, and we didn’t get it. I was excited too.
They used the freezing rain words here... and we’re supposed to spend Saturday evening down in the next town with friends. Hopefully they’re wrong.
They’re covering all the bases here: freezing rain, rain, ice pellets, snow, sleet....that about gets it all. 80 percent chance of precipitation though.
It can snow all it wants on Saturday. I’m holding out for that... No snow during the week!
