is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Congrats on succesful completion of Phases I and II of operation “Coconut Cake”.
Our cat has staked out her place on the radiator cover overlooking the front porch and bird feeder. hmmmm. birdies. So far one red-headed woodpecker and junco in addition to our usual cardinals, ‘welfare’ sparrows and our resident mourning doves. Haven’t seen the turtle doves in a while.
I’d put bird seed out in my feeders but all I get are those bushy-tailed gray birds and little striped brown birds.
Heh...cute.
I’m doing a bit of writing and crocheting...gonna head up north in an hour or so here. Ungh...traffic.
My turkey is nicely buttered, onion shoved up his butt, and in the oven. Mmm.
It’s about 70 here, a little on the cool side. Had my first Thanksgiving Dinner, 2nd coming up. Chardonnay was too heavy for Turkey!

Ramius will be coming down here in a bit to hang out the remainder of the weekend.
I went out and took some pictures this morning but didn't have time to post them before we left. It was a beautiful, if chilly, morning. :~)
Found the horses... WAY out in a sun spot, broadside to the sun like solar panels. Frosty still in the shade.
I liked these two shadow pictures... Pony, having her neck scratched in that spot that makes her lip curl ;~)
And Bay getting a face rub.

Looks like I had a good day in the kitchen....cake, turkey, and dressing all came out right. Even Miss Cat made an appearance to mingle with the strangers.
Family just left....it’s eggnog time.
So much for my intentions of getting back early...just got home.
I noted that Cabela’s was all lit up...
Happy Thanksgiving! The horses seem happy. My puppy and new kitten are starting to accept each other. This the time for family, peace on earth, and preparing for the presidential primaries.
*sigh*
I don’t wanna work tomorrow.
I guess at least I have a few hours to goof off still...
