Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Oh...lovely. Good thing we’re friends. ;-)
I’ve had UPS give me stuff for you guys before, too. The guy stopped and couldn’t figure out which gate was yours. I said I’d just run it over, and he said OK...which in retrospect is probably against all kinds of rules.
In a way it was better when they’d just deliver to the store. At least it was secure there and out of the weather. Richard would sign for it, but the new guy won’t. I think he sends them out, sometimes without clear directions :~)
I found some more trim but it’s not wide enough to cover what I need covered.
Maybe the landlady gave him directions. I have my doubts about her actually knowing my name.
“We have tenant?”
All of this is why for me, it’s usually easier just to have stuff sent here. But I goofed on the order and checked the wrong box and didn’t catch it until it was too far along in the process to change. Oh well.
I’d like to blame UPS again since they seem to have it in for me, but this time, it’s my fault.
Up to the delivery-to-the-wrong-address part, anyhow.
Heh...precisely. ;-)
In hindsight.... we miss Richard :~)
That’s scary...
If you have time, while you’re over this way, maybe we can get together for lunch or something. I can meet you up in Lebanon NH again!
Well, guess you can’t put two side by side to make up the width. :-) How wide does the trim need to be?
Sure - that’d be fun!
I want to go down to West Lebanon anyhow...probably drag Margaret with me.
Just let me know when!
At least four inches to fit directly under the sill. I can go up to 5 1/4 to match the width of the trim to either side of the door (I’d have to nail it into the sill and it’d stick out a bit.) Or I could go with 3 3/4 and trim off the bottom with a quarter-round.
Will do!
I’m thinkin’ maybe lunch, the 12th or 13th?
Sounds good. We don’t have any plans for going anywhere, so we’ll be around, and I can get away for an afternoon.
~chuckling~
Ha! That’s good!
