The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Heh...sad but true.

Doesn’t look like the shuttle site has an option for pickup at the park and ride...which probably means they know it isn’t a long-term option.

And if none of it is workable, I could probably be enlisted to drive you.

And like, while you were there, you could zip down to Pike's Place Market and ship out a salmon or two.

I'm just sayin' is all...

Ugh.

I have now repacked the trunk three times.

This one holds some promise of taking enough that the dogs will not have to run along behind us.

Like, say, mold.

Mold can be, um, not ugly:

There are some users who are just *made* for Dell’s Complete Care. Just sayin’ is all...

Dell’s gotta be regretting they let us buy Complete Care for this particular person...

That’s great, re finding trim in the garage. It’s amazing what one can find in a garage. Hope you find some trim at Lowes, we’ve had good luck finding stuff there.

Next time you’re outside, any chance you could glance at my drive and see if it looks like there’s a package sitting just inside the fence?

I ordered sumpin and accidentally put my billing address as the shipping address. I’ve been sitting here fretting about dealing with trying to chase UPS down after hours, but now the tracking dealie says delivered.

Maybe there are benefits to leaving my car in the yard all day. ;-) Not that I’d usually want a package left there, but this one should be able to handle a few hours out in the weather.
