Hey, I saw a raccoon on my way to work this morning. It was waddling around along Deschutes Parkway near Capitol Lake. Haven’t seen one of them (alive, at least) in a long time.

There’s a family of them that lives over near Boulevard - I’ve seen ‘em on my way to work.

But yeah...they don’t seem to be all that common out here, for whatever reason. Don’t see many porcupines or skunks, either, alive or dead.

Lots of possums, though. I don’t think we have those in Vermont. I’d never seen them except in pictures, for the most part.

My hummingbirds abandoned me when I put the new feeder out. :-( The original broke, and I guess they liked that one better. I need to bring the current one in and bleach it and just put it away, I guess.

We don’t see them (raccoons) often because we’re so suburban and there’s too many dogs around, I think. We used to see them alot growing up, they’d come up on the back porch and we’d feed them. Their numbers have probably decreased, and those who remain avoid us because of the dogs.

LOL - well, I got to find some roadkill to get that image out of my mind.

Driveway swept, cracks filled with the debitage from the driveway-(recycling right?). Time for second breakfast or first lunch, don’t recall the appropriate times.

LSA placed this one on a shepherd’s hook above the voluteer silvas. They seem to like the location of this one better than the last one she tried.

Couldn’t you paint something a bit more appealing?

Oh well. Didn’t find the floor trim I wanted. Guess I’ll try Lowe’s tomorrow. I did pick up some decorative switchplates for the dining room and a 3-way bulb for the floor lamp I got for thesunroom.

They closed the Dillon’s on 143rd Street so I went to check out the one in Shawnee. It wasn’t as fancy as my old store. Oh well.

I found some floor trim in the garage that’s long enough to cover the walls on either side of the door....I just need a piece to go under the door. And I need to relocate the latch on the gate.

I'm into non-fiction.

There are far more attractive non-fictional subjects. ;-)

Like, say, mold.

Eek! Just realizing that I leave for Vermont a week from tomorrow!

I guess I’d better start deciding what to pack.

Shouldn’t need much, since I can bum stuff from Margaret if need be. I don’t even need to feel guilty about doing so, since she still has stuff she perma-bummed from me...

That’s kinda what I’m hoping. ;-)

I still haven’t scheduled the Aeroporter dealie. Ruh-roh. Guess I’d better get that done.

It looks like they’ll come all the way, but it’s a total of something like eighty dollars. Which I guess is still a lot cheaper than parking, and saves a lot of headache, too. I’ve thought about asking my brother if I can part at their place, but I don’t know that it’d save me much, plus I’d have more places where things could go wrong, timing wise.

I know we’ve looked into aeroporters before and they’ve been really expensive from here. For that price you ought to look into a park and ride at the airport for the week. Really.

It’s only $20 from Gig Harbor, so for Entmoot, we used the Gig Harbor aeroporter and parked the truck at the beach house for the week. Tacoma would probably be cheaper too if you look into it.

And if none of it is workable, I could probably be enlisted to drive you.

I wonder what the rules are for the 512 park and ride. It’s not hard to get to. I just don’t know if they allow overnight parking.

Hey, if you come back and your car is towed, it’s probably still cheaper than parking at the airport for a week!
