The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I did put an ad on Craigslist earlier today. I’m still watching eBay, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Was just at Walmart. Maybe I just need to show him Spiderman again...

Do you have IKEA out there?

Not locally.

Besides, I’m cheap. I could get something from Office Depot or Staples, no problem, so it’s not that I don’t have options. I’d just rather not spend more than ten or fifteen bucks if I don’t have to.

We actually have a couple of IKEA office chairs. Not good for, um...”larged boned” people. Plus one of ‘em was what Nana was leaning on the ~first time~ the hip came out.

I could send one to ya, cause they’re goin’ to Goodwill as soon as we get some other chairs recovered. But it would cost more than fifteen bucks.

We're watching 300. Lordy, what a film! The Persians sent cave trolls, wargs, their own versions of Uruk Hai, and oliphants!

It’s a great flick. Tons of eye candy. Gerry Butler is especially yummy. Did you spot David Wenham?

Yep, it's a really good movie, just for the effects... the story makes it even better!

LOL! I didn't see your post before I mentioned Faramir! I recognized his voice, doing the narration, before I saw him.

Eye candy, indeed! I read on IMDB that they put the guys playing the Spartan warriors through a 6 week body building regimen in order for them to build those awesome abs!

SirKit said he like the special effects, too. The camera slow downs, the sepia tones, etc. I like the music, though it’s kinda funky.

The Beacons of Gondor have been lit. Heavens, what a work of cinematography that sequence is!
