btw, we loved the photo you sent... distinguished gent, great view...
whaddacouple uh chew toys...
Though to hear some FReepers tell it...by driving less and hence paying less in fuel tax, I’m singlehandedly bringing about the downfall of our country’s infrastructure.
In truth, my guess is that only a small percentage of the funds needed for road upkeep actually comes from the fuel tax, and I’m likely paying my share even if I *didn’t* drive a three or four days a week anyhow.
But anyway.... < /soapbox>
Oh, VEY good!
Yes... it was :~)
That’s great that you’ll be working so much closer to home!
Oh, and by the way, I’ll put a “Thanksgiving for prayers answered” on our Parish prayer list. Folks like to see that.
I don’t have her organizational skills, though.
The stuff in my cabinets is most definitely *not* in alphabetical order. Or any order at all, for that matter.
It’s not a perfect metafer... ;~)
most certainly... please pass to them my gratitude... the prayers of a righteous man/woman...
heh, don’t know about distinguished part but yes, the view was quite amazing.
Aack. Yikes. We did that too. I'm convinced that the ISO program is a conspiracy by the SteelCase Company designed only to sell filing cabinets. :-)
It’s a joint conspiracy with the timber industry...
I hate to say it, but that's the official statement of our RAT governor. She says the state needs all that gas tax money, (we pay 6% sales tax that includes the other taxes on the gas), and higher gas prices bring in more money.
She said it was okay to cut back on driving, but we had a moral duty to send in the tax money for the gas we didn't buy.
A couple of months ago, some guy made the papers for making his own biodiesel from used french fry oil he got from local fast food joints. She sent her tax nazis to nail him for the state fuel and sales taxes.
Have they got him in a straitjacket yet??
got her, that is.
Jennifer Granholm blames everything on Bush, despite the fact that only Michigan is in a one-state depression. But it's nothing that more taxes won't fix.
Money is so tight that the State Police are moving from their dollar-a-year leased building (good to 2030) to a new building with a $3MB yearly lease. It was built by one of her campaign contributors as a way of "helping" Michigan.
Well, if your going to have a liberal Governor, better she is a good looking democrat, rather than a pansy RINO, like we have in Florida.
