Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I made the mirror image of the same wrong turn I took this morning, and turned around in the same spot...
At least I’m consistently lost. Or something.
Also I realized after I got home that I had a big ol’ smear of black grease on my upper lip like a Hitler mustache. I’d stopped on the bike because I thought my rear wheel was making noise, and ended up with black stuff on my hands, and I must have touched my face. The guy at the car shop didn’t say anything, but.... Ungh...I hate it when you discover you’ve done something embarrassing *after* the fact. *blush*
Have you ever seen Accidental Tourist?
Woohoo! Congrats!
Yes...and also read the book, which was really good. But I don’t remember all the details. Why?
The sister who always got lost. “We have a problem with directions in this family”.
Heh...yeah that’s me... :-)
Ceramic armor, huh. Like the Imperial Stormtroopers have?
Does it come in different colors?
LOL that was great. Very well done.
The company is based intown... 15 miles vice 55 miles away...
Thankyuh ma’am...
thanks brah... I think it’ll be an interesting ride... especially gettin’ ISO 9001-200 certified... muh achin’ back...
Come to think of it...wasn’t her name Rose?
thanks Rosie, I really appreciate yer support...
Thanks Bear... I checked the link you sent, really helped... I greatly appreciate it!
youbetcha!... now comes the pain of gettin’ the company ISO’ed...
Hmm. There is certain logic in that statement that I can fully appreciate. I’d hardly call bicycle commuting selfish, it’s a great way to do it. LSA and I rode our bikes a lot when we were in grad school. Thoroughly enjoyed it, ‘cept the rain part. :-)
we’re concentrating on vehicles now... personal armor is down the road...
